Via the Astoria Film Institute, AFF provides Film Workshops  to schools, after schools, community centers, and to the general public.  Our workshops are designed to equip participants with the tools they need to succeed in film creation and production, to encourage equitable access, opportunities, and resources for traditionally underrepresented communities in film/tv/digital media industries.  They are also a lot of fun!

We are very flexible with what we can offer schools - ranging from Film Production Basics to Film History and Film Critique to Premium Film Production, where students are instructed on basics and then work together as a group to create, star in, and film a short film.

We also can produce Career Days and Speaker Sessions, where we bring industry professionals to visit and speak with students and Mini-Festivals where we showcase students' work to the school and parent community.

We offer all of this online now due to COVID19 - including speakers and mini-festivals.
