Astoria Film Festival
Astoria Film Festival Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization and an official NYC DOE VENDOR, founded by an Astoria-born First-Gen woman with a background in media production and education.
The Astoria Film Festival blends film screenings with educational and career development programs to support local talent and provide a platform for emerging filmmakers. Each year, the festival showcases work from both local and international creators.
Beyond the screenings, AFF offers media education created by Harvard Education specialists and vetted by Industry Professionals: Filmmaking workshops for youth, internships for high school students, and professional workshops that include hands-on training. Young filmmakers are also hired as instructors, videographers, and editors for AFFStudio, creating paid opportunities that build real-world experience.
Media Careers Survey
Astoria Film Festival works with a lot of HS and College and post-College youth interested in the Entertainment Industry.
This survey is meant to help collect information that we can share with them, so they can better plan their career paths.
If you have a few minutes to fill this out we would greatly appreciate it.
